You have opened our hearts to hear You tell
Of a mystery to outlast our days
No human religion could never conceive
That Your presence be known in two ways

Your that Someone who’s always been everywhere
Above and beyond all things
The Genius of all human history
Far greater than all earthly kings

Yet to our delight You love to draw near
When Your Spirit we humbly do call
You tenderly come and openly show
You’re not far from each one of us all

I declare with great joy the divine paradox
Without fear of causing much trouble
Though it may confound the minds of the proud
God‘s wisdom is oftentimes double

So on rooftop steep I will sing I will dance
And play on the peak with a fiddle
Wisdom cries out, “It’s caught more than taught!”
We will thrive in this radical middle
